Note: Building regulations now require that new buildings comply with ‘ Part L '. What this means is that a percentage of new houses need to be tested for air tightness.

Air Tightness Testing identifies any unwanted drafts and airflow through the building. Excessive air leakage leads to heat loss resulting in higher C02 emissions. The purpose of ‘Part L' of the new building regulations is to reduce C02 emissions.

Sound Testing

Acoustic Surveillance and Testing Ltd is a UKAS accredited testing laboratory for conducting sound insulation testing for Part ‘E' of the building regulations and all applications using BS EN ISO 140-4, BS EN ISO 140-7. It is accredited to ISO 17025:2005.

Using Class 1 sound level meters, equipment and professional analysis software, we provide detailed reports that are accepted by building control.

Due to our wide range of experience in testing and acoustic design, we have built up a range of data that enables us to determine which sound proof systems and products perform best in each application.
